Habilitative Opportunities…
- Was founded on the idea that growth and development are fundamental aspects of human life, regardless of environment or disabling conditions;
- Strives to provide the necessary support that fosters growth and development in all individuals accessing out services;
- s counseled by an Advisory Committee of advocates, stakeholders and interested citizens who review and make recommendations on policies and procedures to ensure effective support for individuals with developmental disabilities, based on the needs and preferences of the client, or service recipient in conjunction with team support and recommendations;
- Works closely with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, providing an array of residential, educational and vocational service options based on each client’s Individual Program Plan (IPP), which documents support and services to be provided to the client based on his or her preferences. At Habilitative Opportunities, choices are just as important as wants and needs. Together, they drive the team process because real life is also about real choices.
